coordinated*
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
individual players walk towards the point and get picked off by a coordinate defense
Avatar Tails8521 left feedback: June 2019
the lack of healthkits makes it really hard to take down sentries on the point
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
and when the team splits up too much, they just cant work together. there's no teamplay
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
but when the different routes are so far from each other, the attacking team naturally just splits up
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
defense has an easier time because they control the point, they have a central area to return to
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
or rotate between routes
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
this layout is both overscaled and rather wide, which means its difficult for the attacking team to coordinate an attack

disable shadows on the flags of team_control_point, it looks weird
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
i would recommend doing it as pyro or demo, or even as heavy
Avatar Alex EatDonut left feedback: June 2019
in practice this map is overscaled, when compiling, run around your map as sniper or demo, and not scout or heavy
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
running around your own map is a good way to get a sense of scale - never do it as scout
Avatar Tails8521 left feedback: June 2019
walk times are too long
Avatar Axyo left feedback: June 2019

some nasty sightlines from this spot

these aren't just beginner techniques, but things established mappers do all the time. it helps a lot with scaling

2) download decompiled official maps, make a skip brush the size of an area you like, and copy it into your map
Avatar Idolon left feedback: June 2019
this map feels very large so i'll give you the same scaling advice i give everyone else
Avatar X3_ left feedback: June 2019
there are, unfortunately, no insect friends in it
