like on thunder mountain there's complicated rooms and hallways for red to try and stop the cart in but not here

also the cart is always travelling on the very outskirts on the nontower sections and red has no space to contest it

the reason the cart has rollbacks on thundermountain is so the cart gets stuck there in a way that feels fair

and the dang lowground is too low so it's overly disconnected from the tower segment anyway

the cart also changes elevation frequently on hightower but stays level for long stretches on this map. it's boring

on thundermountain all of the routes connecting to the mid area are long and winding and there aren't many that do

meanwhile on hightower you can literally spawn and get a height advantage over the cart on the lift. that is intentional

it's easier for blue to get to last than for red; look at how TM stage 3 works, with red having high ground and stuff

maybe having arrow signs that rise/lower out of the ground like badwater when certain points are capped could help direct
